Established since 1997, Mofaz Motorsport Sdn Bhd (MMSB) is an entity created by Mofaz to help manage aspiring Malaysian motorsport drivers on a local and international level.  MMSB represents the passion that MOFAZ’s workforce share in the motorsport arena, as well as, our commitment to develop local talents and promote Malaysia to the world.

At current, the pool of Malaysian talents under MMSB’s wing include renowned F1 driver Fairuz Fauzy, who are accompanied by other established and upcoming names in the Malaysian motorsport industry including Farriz Fauzy and Calvin Wong.  With our backing, these young talents are taking the world by storm, racking up achievements at international racing competitions including:

Though our priority remains nurturing a new generation of high-achieving professional racing drivers, we are also actively involved in the organization and participation in world-class motorsport events in and around Asia and Europe.  In 2008, we arrived at a new milestone with the incorporation of the More Organised Sport Entertainment Support (MOSES) initiative, an innovative channel jointly developed with MOFAZ’s advertising arm, Azmah Advertising, to support and promote racing by helping better manage racing events.

Today, MMSB continues to create waves within the international racing industry through the constant cultivation of new racing talents, promotion of the motorsport industry, and achieving unprecedented successes on the global racing circuit for Malaysia.

Fairuz Fauzy

The record-breaking Malaysian has won numerous races in A1 Grand Prix and the World Series by Renault Formula 3.5, and has even broken the Donnington Park Circuit lap record set by racing legend Ayrton Senna, a record that will remain forever unbeatable. He has been actively participating and involved in a number of high-profile racing events such as Formula 1 Grand Prix (as 3rd Driver for Lotus-Renault GP & Lotus Racing, Test Driver for Spyker F1), World Series by Renault F3.5 (1st Runner Up in 2009 with MOFAZ Racing, numerous podiums in 2007 – 2010) and A1 Grand Prix (Numerous podiums between 2006 – 2008). Fairuz is also the Ambassador of the Sepang International Circuit, acclaimed as one of the most exciting and toughest Formula 1 track in the world.

Farriz Fauzy

The younger brother of Fairuz Fauzy is a driver who holds his own, winning the Merdeka Millennium Endurance race with the Honda Malaysia Racing Team in 2004. He features regularly in the Rotax Max Challenge in recent years, and is actively championing karting in and around Asia.

Calvin Wong

An upcoming young Malaysian driver and overall winner in both the Malaysian Rotax Max Challenge junior category as well as the Asian Max Challenge for numerous years. He competed in Formula BMW Pacific under the Petronas MOFAZ Racing team, and claimed numerous wins on the global circuits of Malaysia, Japan and Singapore. MOFAZ Motorsport is also involved in developing other talents through karting and junior formulaes, and will be unveiling the next generation of globally-equipped drivers in time to come.

 2. Management of Motorsport Team

With more than 2 decades of committed involvement in motorsport, MMSB made a giant step in steering Malaysia onto the global racing limelight through the acquisition of Fortec Motorsport, one of the leading teams in the World Series by Renault, Formula 3.5.  This investment has made us the first Asian company to own a team in the globally-acclaimed championship.

Out of that exercise, the emergence of MOFAZ Racing (formerly known as Mofazfortec Motorsport) carries forward a wealth of experience, expertise and exposure into its participation in the World Series by Renault, Formula 3.5.

Under its new branding, MOFAZ Racing has also been actively involved in championing young Malaysian talents in the Formula BMW Pacific and Formula JK Racing Asia Series, with the BMW FB02 platform, under the patronage of PETRONAS Motorsports. PETRONAS MOFAZ Racing soon begun acquiring a reputation as a force to be reckoned with in 2010, and laid claim to 2nd Runner-Up in the 2011 Formula JK Racing Asia Series Team Championship.
